New features and fixes, version by version. The app looks for new versions on its own, at launch and while it stays open.

Column view fixes
Fixes
- Fixed: in column view, going back with ← hid the earlier columns off the left edge and left the right side empty. This came with 0.9.35.
- Fixed: in column view, pressing → on a folder you have no permission to open showed a new error notice every time. Now only "Permission denied" shows in the column on the right.

Copying, extracting and finding
- Merge folders: paste or drop a folder with the same name and you are asked whether to merge, like Windows. ⌘Z undoes it.
- Pause copy and move: stop and continue later. Several copies run one after another, and the status bar shows “N waiting”. Click it to cancel a copy that is waiting.
- Open from anywhere: turn it on in Settings, then press ⌥⌘E in any app to open Haemil Explorer. The menu bar icon lists your 10 latest downloads. Pick one and it opens with that file selected.
- Extract more: password-protected zip, 7z, rar, tar, tar.gz, tar.bz2 and tar.xz.
- New › Document and Code: create Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Hangul, Markdown, RTF and CSV files, and code files such as Python, JavaScript and HTML.
- Views: the list shows folder sizes. There is also Gallery view (⌥⌘0) and item checkboxes.
- Preview and Properties: the preview shows resolution, date taken, camera and length on one line. Properties shows the web address a file was downloaded from as “Where from”.
- Navigation pane: AirDrop and Desktop are at the top. Trash now includes the trash of any connected disk, and you can Put Back from it.
- Quick Actions (free): rotate GIF and BMP too. A long job shows a progress bar and can be canceled.
- Settings › About: see your current version and the latest updates, and report a bug.
- Similar photos (Pro): turn on “Similar photos” in the duplicate finder to group resized or re-saved photos and burst shots.
- Cleanup cards in Disk Space (Pro): old installers in Downloads, old screenshots and large videos, gathered in cards.
- Copy text and smarter search (Pro): copy the text of several pictures and PDFs to the clipboard at once. Type “last week report” or “large files” to filter by date and size.
- Toolbar (Pro): icons for dual pane, file shelf, folder compare, duplicate finder and batch rename.
Fixes
- Fixed: pressing Delete on a selected item in the file shelf sent the original to the Trash. Now it is only removed from the shelf.
- Fixed: in column view, the columns shifted left and right each time you selected something.
- Fixed: Empty Trash now deletes only the items the confirmation window counted.
- Fixed: button labels in confirmation windows wrapped onto two lines.

The Finder things you missed
- Connect to Server (⌘K): mount smb, afp, nfs, ftp and WebDAV shares right from Haemil Explorer. Favorite and recent servers are remembered.
- Tags (free): Finder color tags show in the list. Add them with ⌃1–7 and clear them with ⌃0. Click a tag in the navigation pane to see every file that has it.
- Recents: at the top of the navigation pane, your 10 most visited folders and the files you opened in the last 30 days. You can make it the start page, like Windows File Explorer.
- Trash: open it from the navigation pane, then Put Back or Empty Trash with a right-click. Files you trashed in Finder go back to where they were, too.
- Duplicate (⌘D) and Make Alias (⌃⌘A). Aliases are the same as Finder aliases: double-click one to open the original.
- Share and AirDrop: the same macOS share menu as Finder, from the right-click menu.
- Quick Actions (free): rotate pictures left or right, make a PDF from several pictures, and convert to JPEG, PNG or HEIC.
Fixes
- Fixed: in a Korean-named folder opened by typing its path, new or copied items were not selected.

- Column view can now be sorted by date modified, size or type, and every column uses the same order.

- The preview pane now shows the first page of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pages, Numbers and Keynote documents.
- Updates are checked for you: at launch and every 6 hours while the app is open. You only hear about it when there is a new version.
