Terms of Use

1. License

Haemil grants you the right to install the app on your own Mac and use it for personal or work purposes. The right to use Pro features covers as many Macs as the license you bought. This right is non-exclusive and non-transferable.

Haemil owns the copyright and all other rights in the app. Rights not stated in these terms are not granted.

2. Free features and the Pro trial

The basic features are free.

You can try the Pro features free for 14 days from the first launch. After the trial you need a Pro license to use Pro features; the free features keep working.

3. Purchase and license file

A Pro license, once bought, has no time limit, and later updates come at no extra cost.

When you buy, you receive a license file containing the buyer's name and email and the number of Macs it can be registered on.

A license is registered per Mac. The first time you register, the app sends the license and a device identifier for this Mac to Haemil's server for confirmation; after that it works without an internet connection. While online, the app checks at most once every 7 days that the registration is still active.

You can register up to the number of Macs you bought (one or five). You can deactivate a registered Mac at any time from the app or the license page and register another Mac in its place. There is no limit on how often you deactivate.

Do not share the license file with others or post it publicly.

Price, payment methods and whether tax is included follow what the checkout page shows.

4. Prohibited use

You may not bypass the license check, the limit on registered Macs or the trial period, redistribute a modified app, or resell or lend a license.

You may not reverse engineer or disassemble the app except where the law allows it.

5. Open source components

The app includes open source software such as FFmpeg (LGPL 2.1). For those parts, their own licenses take precedence over these terms. Notices and the corresponding source are available on the Open source notices page.

6. Updates

The app checks for new versions automatically when it starts and every few hours while it is open, and installs only updates you choose to install whose signature is verified.

Updates may change features. We will announce major changes that are unfavorable to buyers in advance.

7. Files and backups

The app moves, changes and deletes files as you tell it to. Deleted files go to the Trash by default (permanent delete removes them at once), but please keep separate backups of important data.

8. Limitation of liability

The app is provided as is. Except for intent or gross negligence, Haemil is not liable for indirect damages or data loss from using the app, and Haemil's liability does not exceed the amount you paid for the license.

This does not reduce any rights consumer protection laws guarantee you.

9. Refunds

Refunds follow the Refund Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We post changes on this page at least 7 days before they take effect, and at least 30 days before for changes unfavorable to you.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes go to the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
